Calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) masterbatch is one of the most widely used intermediate products in the plastics industry. Produced as a concentrated granular feedstock containing 60–80% calcium carbonate in a polymer carrier (typically PP, PE or PVC), it is metered into the final product compound at the converter. Both natural and stearate-coated micronized calcite are used in masterbatch production — selection depends on target loading and final application.
