Micronized Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃)
Our state-of-the-art facility produces micronized calcium carbonate with a particle size ranging from 1 to 100 microns, classified as natural or coated according to customer requirements. Our company meets its entire raw material needs from its own licensed sites.
Natural Calcite
It is an industrial filler produced by grinding and micronizing calcium carbonate rock obtained from nature with high purity and whiteness.
Coated Calcite
It is the coating of an industrial filler produced by grinding and micronizing calcium carbonate stone obtained from nature, with high purity and whiteness, using advanced technology.

What Is Micronized Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃)?
Micronized calcium carbonate is natural calcite (CaCO₃) that has been finely ground and classified into controlled particle sizes, typically in the 1–100 µm range. At Aydın Madencilik, we produce it in our Bursa Gemlik facility using German Hosokawa Alpine classifier mills, from high-purity raw calcite extracted at our own licensed mining sites. The result is a consistent, high-brightness filler and coating mineral used across dozens of industries.
Why Aydın Madencilik Calcium Carbonate?
Since 1999, we have supplied micronized calcium carbonate to the paint, plastics, paper, rubber, pharmaceutical, agriculture and construction sectors. Our vertically integrated structure — from raw material to laboratory, packaging and shipment — guarantees purity and colour stability at the source. Every batch is tested in our in-house laboratory for brightness (ISO), particle size distribution (d50/d97) and CaCO₃ purity, and is delivered with a certificate of analysis (CoA).
Typical Specifications
- Particle size: 1–100 µm — d50 3–15 µm, d97 10–45 µm (grade-dependent)
- CaCO₃ purity: 98%+
- ISO 2470-1 brightness: 90–97 (grade-dependent)
- Surface: natural or stearic-acid coated grades
- Certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, REACH; HFFR-compatible (halogen <100 ppm)
Industrial Applications
Micronized calcium carbonate acts as an extender pigment and functional filler. In paint and coatings it improves opacity and reduces TiO₂ demand; in plastics and masterbatch it lowers cost and adjusts stiffness; in paper it serves as filler and coating; in rubber, PVC, cables and construction chemicals it provides reinforcement, volume and rheology control. The optimal fineness and coating depend on the application.
