What is calcite?

What is the difference between natural and coated calcite?
Natural calcite is a micronized product processed in its natural state. Coated calcite, on the other hand, is a product coated with stearic acid or other surfactants to impart hydrophobic properties. Coated calcite provides better dispersion and mechanical properties, particularly in plastic and polymer applications.
